On Sunday (1/June), I headed up to the Viking Festival in Timahoe with my siblings and their families.

The first thing that impressed me was that there was lots of free parking available. This was much appreciated after the drive over to the festival.

There were plenty of things for the kids to do in the fairground on the green. Additionally, it was a lot of fun to watch the staged battles during the day. The nephew even managed to partake in a battle against a horde of Vikings! 🙂
