“This Dragon travels throughout the Seasons and walks into every corner of the world” – Hua Tunan

《龙游四季走天下》 “ This Dragon travels throughout the Seasons and walks into every corner of the world”

HUA TUNAN

This is the first time I arrived in Chicago Chinatown and worked on a 120 feet x 10 feet Wall to create a mural. In which, a Chinese traditional ink brush painting cultural integration of Western street art was performed and exhibited in the theme of “ This Dragon travels throughout the Seasons and walks into every corner of the world ”. The scenario defines in four-color, works on behalf of four seasons, “Spring” ,“Summer” , “ Autumn” and “ Winter”. A long line of ink draws through them, meaning Chinese are global. They are every place in the world and work extremely hard in every step to success from Winter to Spring .

Barbara Licha born in Poland 1957 is an artist currently based in Sydney, Australia.

crossconnectmag:

Barbara Licha born in Poland 1957 is an artist currently based in Sydney, Australia. She studied painting, graphics and sculpture before travelling around Europe, and then to Australia in 1982. She was awarded a Graduate Diploma of Fine Arts from Sydney’s City Art Institute in 1989.

The artist says:

Everything about people interests me. The complexity of people’s behaviour has always intrigued me, and inspired me to visually express the range of emotion we see in the human condition. I explore the parallels between ordinary people that I come across in real life and the people that reside in my imagination, my own representations of emotion.

The Tunisian island of Djerba just became a major street art hotspot, thanks to the project Djerbahood

The Tunisian island of Djerba just became a major street art hotspot, thanks to the project Djerbahood curated by artist Mehdi Ben Cheikh and the Galerie Itinerrance. This past summer, the village of Erriadh was transformed into an open-air art museum when 150 street artists were invited to decorate the area with stunning works of graffiti.

Artur Bordalo aka Bordalo II is a Portugese street artist born 1987 in Lisbon.

crossconnectmag:

Artur Bordalo aka Bordalo II is a Portugese street artist born 1987 in Lisbon. He presents us a figurative painting full of vivacity and movement, where he paints his own interpretation of urban landscapes and city entertainment. He’s exploring his own mixed media on wood stand base, and are thus made a series of collages of objects (garbage). It is not only a way to recycle, but also a critique of the world we live in, where we often have nice things, which are based on junk without realizing it.
